Memory Rock Chicago

Our 18th Memory Rock held on October 10, 2024 raised over $100,000 for the Alzheimer's Association, bringing us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. Since its inception, Memory Rock has contributed over a million dollars to the cause, thanks to dedicated committee members, generous sponsors, and an incredible community. Held at Tunnel in Chicago's River North neighborhood, the annual rock concert features local bands, an open bar, and a lively silent auction. We’re excited to celebrate our 19th Memory Rock in October 2025—see you there!

How it Started:
Memory Rock Chicago was created in 2006 by Steve Monroe, Chicago author and commercial real estate consultant. With no prior connection to the disease, Monroe witnessed the devastating toll it took on his colleague as she lost her father to Alzheimer’s, and then cared for her mother who was diagnosed shortly thereafter. This experience compelled him to take action. He organized a committee of friends to host a fundraiser, and quickly learned many of them were also impacted by the disease.
